Authentic antique English cream stoneware preserve jar from the iconic W.P. Hartley jam company (founded 1871). Features the desirable post-1901 base mark: impressed "W P HARTLEY / LIVERPOOL & LONDON" with central lighthouse trademark.

Hartley's opened their London factory in 1901 (in Bermondsey), so jars stamped with both "Liverpool and London" date to after 1901, likely 1900s–1920s/1930s.

Classic ribbed/fluted design, salt-glazed finish with natural speckling and age-related crazing. No chips or cracks—just honest vintage wear on the rim from decades of use.

A superb example of British advertising pottery/kitchenalia. Ideal as a utensil crock, vase, or display piece in cottage/farmhouse style.

Approx. 5–6 inches tall (standard 2lb size). Great condition for its age!
